Transformers and Action Force

Marvel U.K. ran an Action Force and Transformers crossover story called Ancient Relics in 1987.
Written by Simon Furman and drawn by Geoff Senior part 1 featured in Transformers 125 with the other four parts featuring in Action Force 24-27. For any Americans out there, Action Force was the U.K. name for G.I. Joe back in the day.

It featured a Marvel UK created character called Centurion...

And some great scenes such as Megatron throwing around puny human tanks...

and a Grimlock vs Megatron rumble.

Most issues of Action Force weekly also featured classic Transformer toy ads on the back cover.

X-MEN signed by Romita Jnr ?

I have a copy of Uncanny X-Men 196 that came as part of an ebay lot a couple of years ago. It is signed on the cover and page 1 "John Romita Jnr 85"

The seller made no mention of the comic being signed, which seems odd. I have checked against images of JRJR's signature online and for my money its the real deal.

So now i have a 95% genuine signed book by my favourite old school Marvel artist.

Burger King Empire Strikes Back Cards and Stickers.

In 1980 Burger King ran some Star Wars promotions for the release of The Empire Strikes Back.  One of these was the Everybody Wins scratch card game in which the top prize was an Atari Video Computer system. The most common prize was a strip of trading cards with scenes from Star Wars and ESB. There were 36 cards in all.

18 from The Empire Strikes Back:

And 18 from Star Wars:

Another promo was The Super Scene Collection Stamps, which consisted of a free fold out chart to stick the 48 collectable stamps on.
